Kathleen F. Weaver, Ph. D.
Loyola Marymount University Kathleen Weaver brings 15 years of experience as a faculty member and administrator. She serves as associate provost for research, professional development, and online learning at Loyola Marymount University. Dr. Weaver has experience in faculty development; education grant writing, implementation, and management; general education reform and implementation; university-wide assessment development and implementation; and campus-wide science and education reform efforts. Dr. Weaver also is an experienced biology professor and has published on higher education and science education topics, as well as in evolutionary and conservation biology journals. Matthew T. Loyola Marymount University Matthew Nelson is currently a Senior Research Associate and Grant Writer at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, having just finished five years as the inaugural director of the Writing Hub at the University of California, San Diego. Matthew has published academic work on writing center topics and on the role of writing in science education. As a writing center director, past president of the Southern California Writing Centers, and former professional writing tutor, Matt believes deeply in writing centers as sites for transformative social learning about writing. |
