Outstanding Tutor Award
The Outstanding Tutor Award is designed to recognize professional staff who not only demonstrate excellent tutoring skills, but also make significant contributions to their writing center. The award was established in Fall 2006, and the first award was presented at the Spring 2007 conference.
Guidelines
The award is open to part-time or full-time consultants, as well as graduate or undergraduate peer tutors at a writing center in the SCWCA region. Nominees must be current members of the NTWCA.
Writing center directors must nominate a consultant who is an employee in his/her writing center. Nominations should include the name, institution, address, telephone, and email address of the consultant and/or tutor as well as a letter explaining why the individual should be considered for the award, including information regarding tutoring abilities and contributions to the center.

The winner will be notified via email, and will be recognized and presented the award and a cash prize at the spring conference.
